Ink and Watercolour

Discover the joy of watercolour and ink through a blend of traditional techniques, contemporary methods, and creative self-expression.

Discover Your Creative Voice with Ink and Watercolour

Watercolour is one of my favourite mediums because it can be almost anything you want it to be. From urban sketching and loose florals to landscapes, animals, and expressive abstract paintings, watercolour offers endless possibilities for creativity and self-expression.

In this class you’ll learn how to work with pigment and water, explore colour mixing, and discover a range of traditional and contemporary techniques. We’ll experiment with brushes, pens, and other tools while building confidence and developing the skills needed to create beautiful, personal artwork.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience with watercolours, you’ll be encouraged to explore, play, and find your own unique style. My classes are relaxed, supportive, and designed to help you enjoy the creative process rather than striving for perfection.

One of the many joys of watercolour is its simplicity. The materials are compact, portable, and easy to use at home, in a sketchbook, or while travelling. It’s a versatile and environmentally friendly medium that allows you to create rich, vibrant artwork with very little waste.

Join us and discover the joy of watercolour painting in a welcoming studio environment where creativity, confidence, and connection can flourish.

Why Choose Creative Life Studio?

Beginner Friendly

Our classes are beginner-friendly, because we all have to start somewhere. I still remember how daunting it felt to join a new group when I first began, so I make it a priority to create a welcoming and supportive space. Here, you’ll be encouraged to explore, experiment, and enjoy the process as you learn new skills—at your own pace and in good company.

Everything Provided

All tools and materials are provided to make it easy to begin your art adventure. Occasionally, you may be invited to bring an image or a magazine page to add a personal touch to your work. Over time, you’ll also get a feel for which supplies you’d like to buy for your own practice. If you already have a favourite pen or paintbrush, you’re more than welcome to use it in class.

Social Connection

We’re not just here to make art—connection is an important part of our classes too. In the studio, we encourage conversation and sharing, not about politics or religion, but about personal stories and experiences that bring us together and help us feel more connected as people.
